An in-depth breakdown of the Blue Services (iLab) user interface for users to familiarize themselves with the system.

Once you log in to iLab, you will be directed to the Welcome Screen. Select the Getting Started collapsible (Figure 1) to access additional details and navigate the iLab application.
Note that your collapsible may have more or fewer options.

Use the left-hand navigation panel (usually hidden) to access high-level system areas in combination with several navigation elements at the top of the screen which provide access to various system functions (Figure 2).

The left-hand navigation panel is usually hidden but can be shown and hidden again by clicking on the three horizontal bars at the top-left of the screen (Figure 3).

When you log into iLab, you will automatically be taken to your home page. You will see a welcome from the core and a brief core description. Additionally, you may see some steps to get started. From here, you may access service requests, messages, your cores and institutions, and all features available in the left and top navigation panels.
Click on the section header Core Facilities to list and search all core facilities at your own institution, partner institutions and other external institutions.

Click on the section header My Groups (Figure 5) to display a page listing all groups, departments, cores, and institutions you can access.

The search tool allows you to search for specific cores and services. Type a key term or the first few letters and click Go. Your results will be displayed on the page (Figure 7).

Click My Profile (Figure 8) to view and edit your user profile.

The system upgrade screen (Figure 9) gives you access to all messages regarding the system and any updates, features or bug fixes of the iLab software.

The Help button (Figure 10) brings you to iLab's central iLab Support Portal.

While iLab offers a Help portal, we highly recommend you take advantage of our User Guides and customer support resources for a more effective experience.
Click Sign Out to log out of the iLab system (Figure 11).
