Office of Research Advancement (ORA)
The Office of Research Advancement (ORA) supports the university’s research and scholarly community in the pursuit of external grant and research funding.
Comprehensive administrative and technical support are available to researchers as they form their research teams, identify collaborators, refine their projects and develop their proposals. Working with UB faculty, our goal is to help create highly competitive proposals to support promising research and advance university initiatives.
ORA Services
- Small- and Large-Scale Proposal Management: Coordinate the entire proposal package; assist in supplemental document preparation; facilitate proposal submission.
- Technical Document Editing: Comprehensive proposal editing services for technical and narrative documents.
- In-house Graphics Design: Create comprehensive proposal visuals (i.e., org charts; timelines; work plans; project organization; etc.).
- Specialized Grant Support Services: Consultation and development of Project Evaluation; Management Plan(s); and Research Impacts (i.e. Broader Impacts).
- Writing Series: Hands-on grant writing programs to improve grantsmanship.
