Using an HTML editor from off campus?

Connect to UBVPN first.

  • Server Name: UBUnix
  • Connect Using: SFTP
  • SFTP Address/FTP Host: ubunix.buffalo.edu
  • Login/Username: your UBITName
  • Password: your UBITName password
  • Initial path/directory: public_html
  • Connection type: SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol)
  • Port: 22

Common Questions

Can I download Dreamweaver from UB or use it in Computing Sites?

Dreamweaver is available on iMac stations as part of Adobe Creative Cloud. It is not available for download.

Where can I get free HTML editor software?

A Web search for “free HTML editor” will provide you with alternative programs that you may install directly on your computer.
