Starting February 17, 2025, you will notice a different sign-in screen when you first log on to UB phone (VoIP) services. Here’s what you need to know.
When you first sign-in on February 17, 2025, to VoIP services, including UB VoIP Cisco Communications Manager self-care portal, checking voicemail from a web browser using Cisco Unity Connection Web Inbox, and setting your location for 911 services with Cisco Jabber, you will be taken to a different log in screen that looks like the image below:
Enter your full UBmail address (ex: jdoe@buffalo.edu) and password to sign-in to these VoIP services. Make sure you enter your full UB email address, not just your UBITName.
You may also be asked to verify your identity with Duo two-step verification.
UBIT is changing this single sign-on (SSO) process to provide a consistent login experience for students, faculty, and staff.
For more information about VoIP services, including help guides for Cisco Jabber, visit UBIT’s website.
The UBIT Help Center is also available anytime to assist faculty and staff. Students can also reach out to The UB Tech Squad to get help with technology at UB.
UB Information Technology News keeps UB students, faculty, and staff informed about their IT services and showcases creative collaborations between UBIT and the campus community. Published by the Office of the Chief Information Officer at UB and distributed via email as The Monthly Download. Edited by Diana Tuorto, IT Communication and Engagement, dianatuo@buffalo.edu.
