Starting June 24, 2025, you will notice a different sign-in screen when you first open UBbox. Here’s what you need to know.

New sign-in screen for UBbox requires full email address

When you first sign-in on June 24, 2025, to UBbox, you will be taken to a different log in screen that looks like the image below:

UB sign in screen.

Enter your full UBmail address (ex: jdoe@buffalo.edu) and password to sign-in to UBbox. Make sure you enter your full UB email address, not just your UBITName.

You may also be asked to verify your identity with Duo two-step verification.

UBIT is changing this single sign-on (SSO) process to provide a consistent login experience for students, faculty, and staff.

Note: For those with ITORG accounts, you will sign-in with your full User Principal Name address (ex: dept.account@itorg.ad.buffalo.edu). Contact your Distributed IT leader if you have any trouble logging in.
