UB faculty are invited to learn more about the artificial intelligence text program, ChatGPT, and how it can impact the classroom.

UB’s Faculty Senate IT Committee is hosting a virtual Lunch and Learn event on ChatGPT Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 12:30 p.m.

The one-hour Zoom session will feature an overview of the AI program as well as a demonstration. Join our discussion on how ChatGPT can have both positive and negative effects in the classroom.

ChatGPT (Generative Pre-Trained Transformer) launched in November 2022 by research laboratory, OpenAI. It allows people to use artificial intelligence to generate any sort of text, whether it be an email or an essay.
UB faculty will have the chance to learn more about important academic integrity issues being raised with ChatGPT as well as some helpful strategies to embrace this new technology in the classroom. There will also be a Q&A session.
