Melinda Lemke is an expert on the politics of education and sociocultural contexts of education. She examines how public education centers the health and wellbeing of historically unserved and underserved youth.

Lemke, who had a previous career in urban public education, can speak to the media about educational policies and programming that address gender and sexual violence, and aspects of forced displacement including human trafficking and refugee resettlement. 

Her teaching interests include critical/feminist policy analysis and P-20 diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
