Stop the Clock Toward Continuing or Permanent Appointment

Employees may request to stop the clock toward continuing or permanent appointments for the birth, adoption, foster care placement of a child, critical life event, or special circumstances. Critical life event or special circumstances will require a change to title.  The appropriate form below must be submitted to effectuate a stoppage in service credit toward “tenure” or permanent appointment.
