Outdoor Project Authorization Request

A project owner must request authorization before placing an experimental apparatus, demonstration project or other mechanical device in common areas or outdoors, regardless of its purpose.

Instructions

  • Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) reviews projects for safety and security purposes 
  • On approval, EH&S will provide you, the owner, with "Approved Apparatus" tag
  • All devices in common space must be placed so that they do not present a hazard to the public, do not damage university or private property and do not block or disrupt fire egress from a building
