Call Handlers

Call Handlers are simple phone trees included with the UB VOIP Phone service.  

Features

Call handlers answer calls, greet callers with recorded prompts and provide them with information and options, route calls, and take messages. A phone consultation will be arranged to discuss the available options and develop a customized call handler to meet your departmental needs. You may want to use call handlers in the following ways:

  • Standard and Closed greetings based on time of day schedule
  • Direct transfer to another person or department
  • Automated attendant to direct calls using a staff directory
  • Offer a prerecorded audiotext for frequent inquiries
  • Automatically restart greeting

Note: Your department must designate a staff member to record and manage the greetings.
