UB GitHub provides access to a managed code repository environment for university-related work. This enterprise service supports secure collaboration, version control, and integration with UB’s Single Sign-On.
Can I invite people not from UB to my UB GitHub Enterprise Organization?
Yes. See Adding outside collaborators to repositories in your organization on Github.com for more information.
Can UB GitHub be used with UB CaaS instead of UBVCS?
Yes. In fact, GitHub is the preferred repository for UB CaaS.
Are inactive accounts automatically removed?
Automatic removal of inactive accounts from GitHub Enterprise Organizations is not currently implemented. Policies for this are still being finalized.
Can my Organization use GitHub Actions?
Yes. GitHub Actions are available under our Enterprise account and can be enabled for your organization. The account has a shared pool of 50,000 minutes per month, but there’s no way to assign quotas to individual organizations. If the limit is exceeded, new Actions jobs will stop running.
Is GitHub Copilot included with our Enterprise license?
A: No. GitHub Copilot is not included in our Enterprise license and would need to be purchased separately.
