Create a guest account and login to Wi-Fi

Manually connect to guest Wi-Fi each time you’re on campus, for six months.

Create a Guest Account

You need to create a guest account before you can connect as a guest for the first time.  

1. Select UB_Connect from the available Wi-Fi networks on your device.

2. Open a Web browser and enter http://connect.buffalo.eduin the address bar. 

3. Click Login as Guest

3. Click Sign up for an account under More.

4. Enter:

  • Your first and last name in the Your Name field.
  • Your non-UB email address in the Email Address field.

5. Check the box to accept the terms of use. 

6. Click Create Account.

7. A browser will open. Log into your email using the browser. Check your email for your UB guest password.

8. On newer devices, turn off the "Private Wi-Fi Address” (aka "Random MAC Address") feature (instructions for Apple, Microsoft and Android).

Connect to UB_Connect Wi-Fi

Each time you want to connect for a session, you must follow these steps:

1.Select UB_Connect Wi-Fi

2. Go to http://connect.buffalo.edu

3. Enter your email address in the Username field.

4. Enter the password sent to your email in the Password field.

6. Click Log In. You will have internet access through a web browser.
