With UBbox’s free, unlimited cloud storage, the opportunities are endless. If you’re using another cloud storage service and haven’t made the switch, here are just a few reasons you might want to give UBbox another look.
Box Drive uses your Internet connection to make your entire UBbox account a removable drive on your device.
Features include:
Box Drive makes UBbox a natural part of your workflow. Why not try it out?
The UBbox mobile app makes it easy to open your files wherever you are. You can even make files available for offline so you can access them anytime, without an Internet connection.
With the Box Capture mobile app for iOS, you can capture photos, audio, video and PDFs with your device’s camera and microphone, then upload them directly to your UBbox account.
Keeping track of group projects can be tricky, especially if you're emailing new versions back and forth all the time.
UBbox solves these problems with easy collaboration using link sharing.
Once you add collaborators to a folder:
Even if you aren't collaborating with someone, you can always share your work with them in UBbox by sending a link. The recipient doesn't even need to be part of UB!
After you move your tassels to the left, your UBbox account doesn't have to go away! Graduating UB students can opt-in within six months to keep your UBbox account forever.
By doing so, your UBbox account can act as a permanent backup for your school-era documents and files. If you want to keep using UBbox as an active cloud storage account, you can add and store new files up to 50 GB after graduation.
If you’re working with Category I or HIPAA-protected SUNY data, IT staff can help set up folders with the right level of security. Submit a request for a sensitive data folder in UBbox.
UBbox works with FTP (file transfer protocol) so you can upload lots of data at once. There are instructions for using FTP with UBbox on the UBIT website, and your departmental IT support staff are happy to help.
