UB Login Phish - Do not click 'Case ID-A0722JB verification' email
An email supposedly from UB/"IT Service" is requiring that you verify whether you requested a change of name associated with your email address.
Red flags: How you can tell it is a fake
- The email did not come from an @buffalo.edu address.
- The URL is not a buffalo.edu web site.
- The email is not signed by anyone working at UB or an actual department here.
I already clicked the links. What should I do?
- If you entered your password, change it immediately - go to Changing Your Password.
- If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.
I did not click on the links. What should I do?
Delete the email.
