UB Login Phish - Do not click 'Someone left you a voice message 716-645-2230' email 07-24-18

IT Security Alert.

An email supposedly from "Schoenle, Gerald" claims that you have a voice message from 716-645-2230.  Clicking on the "Click Here" in the body of the message takes you to a page that mimics a UB login page.

Red flags: How you can tell it is a fake

  1. No content in the body of the email explaining what was received and signature from another person.
  2. Hovering over URL shows it is not a buffalo.edu site.

I already clicked the links. What should I do?

  • If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.
