UB Login Phish- Do not click 'E-mail Notice ' email 04-18-22
An email supposedly from "University at Buffalo" claims that your email account is about to expire and that you "update your mail account through the link below" to avoid deactivation.
Red flags: How you can tell it is a fake
- The address is not a UB email address.
- The greeting is generic.
- The domain of the URL is not buffalo.edu.
I already clicked the link. What should I do?
- If you entered your password, change it immediately - go to Changing Your Password.
- If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.
I did not click on the attachment. What should I do?
Delete the email.
