UB Login Phish - Do not click 'Ticket Number:135863' email 12-18-17

IT Security Alert.

An email supposedly from "Service Desk" is supposedly telling you that your ticket has been closed.  The link to "Your incident" attempts to steal your UBIT credentials.

  1. Notice the email "From" address is not @buffalo.edu
  2. Hovering over URL shows it is not a buffalo.edu site.
  3. Generic signature not used by our UBIT Help Center.

I already clicked the links. What should I do?

  • If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.

I did not click on the links. What should I do?

Delete the email.
