UB Login Phish - Do not click 'Information service' email 10-23-17
An email supposedly from "Information Technology" that two factor authentication has become mandatory and provides a link encouraging you to get started with the service.
Red flags: How you can tell it is a fake
- Poor spelling and grammar has been used.
- If you hover over the URL you will see that it is not a buffalo.edu web site.
- The sender is not a buffalo.edu account.
I already clicked the links. What should I do?
- If you entered your password, change it immediately - go to Changing Your Password.
- If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.
I did not click on the links. What should I do?
Delete the email.
