UB Login Phish - Do not click 'Information service' email 10-23-17

IT Security Alert.

An email supposedly from "Information Technology" that two factor authentication has become mandatory and provides a link encouraging you to get started with the service.

Red flags: How you can tell it is a fake

 
  1. Poor spelling and grammar has been used.
  2. If you hover over the URL you will see that it is not a buffalo.edu web site.
  3. The sender is not a buffalo.edu account.

I already clicked the links. What should I do?

  • If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.

I did not click on the links. What should I do?

Delete the email.
