UB Login Phish - Do not click 'New sign-in from iPhone' email

IT Security Alert.

An email supposedly from Microsoft indicates that your Faculty account was just used to sign in on Chrome on an iPhone for the first time and encourages you to check your Recently Connected Devices for more information. 

Red flags: How you can tell it is a fake

 
  1. The sender is not a buffalo.edu account.
  2. The URL is not a buffalo.edu web site.

I already clicked the links. What should I do?

  • If clicked on the link, but did not enter your password, please check that your computer security or anti virus program is on and up to date.

I did not click on the links. What should I do?

Delete the email.
