    Student Engagement's annual LEAD (Leadership, Engagement, Advocacy and Development) Awards are designed to recognize individuals and organizations who have demonstrated a commitment to leadership, service, and the University at Buffalo.

    Join us as we remember our students who passed away during the year. At this annual ceremony, we mourn the loss of these beloved individuals, and reflect upon the impact they had — on us, our friends and the entire campus community. Come together as we dedicate a brick on the promenade in permanent remembrance of each student.

Recognition Ceremonies

ALANA

The ALANA Celebration of Achievement is a commencement recognition ceremony, primarily for underrepresented students and student of color. For information about registration and participation, please view the Commencement website.

Lavender

The Lavender Reception is a commencement recognition ceremony that celebrates the achievements of graduating students who identify with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) community at UB. Veteran and Military Recognition
