The Rookery Labs, Inc., a medical device startup incubator, recently received a $300,000 investment from the Western New York Impact Investment Fund. Launched this year on Buffalo's East Side, The Rookery provides state-of-the-art facilities and expert support to medical device startups in every step of the commercialization process—from design, development and prototyping to
regulatory approvals to manufacturing.
The Rookery is supported by BEP and StartupNY and backed by Egret Healthcare Ventures, an investment firm for health startups that also supports BEP portfolio companies Vicora and Ampullae, Inc. Egret was founded with the belief that Buffalo can be a national leader in medical device innovation.
