Buffalo startup raises funds to boost wellness through physical activity

Buffalo Business First reported that Strideful, a wellness company that produces running and walking plans to help people enhance their mood and manage stress, recently received a $100,000 investment from UB Cultivator to help them hit the ground running.

Following a string of injuries and illnesses, Strideful founder Chris Muldoon, a competitive runner, started thinking about how running and walking can benefit mental health. He tapped his friend and fellow runner Matt Werder to start Strideful in January 2024.

As reported, the startup currently offers an email-based product and is working on an app with local product studio Helm Experience and Design. The app will include programs focused on habit formation and tracking moods, supported with psychology tips. The app is expected to launch this fall.
