Ideal candidates demonstrate genuine interest in leadership development and have endorsements from peers or supervisors. Supervisor approval is required, and preference is given to those with relevant experience or tenure.

  • This 18-month professional development experience is designed to help cultivate UB's next generation of leaders.
  • Participants will strengthen their leadership competencies while gaining meaningful exposure to key operational areas across the university, including Business Services, Human Resources, Institutional Analysis, Resource Planning, Research Administration, University Advancement and University Facilities.
  • The program is built around four interconnected perspectives—Essential Knowledge, Providing Technical Proficiency, Reporting & Compliance, and Supporting Business Performance—with each segment concluding in a capstone project that reinforces both understanding and real-world application.
  • Participation is intentionally limited to 16 individuals per cohort to ensure a supportive, high-quality learning experience.
