New mothers in the workplace are granted unpaid break time to express breast milk for up to 3 years after the birth of a child. If you are a nursing mother, discuss your intent to use this benefit with your supervisor and make arrangements for your work schedule. Your department is expected to make a reasonable effort to provide a private location for this purpose.
