How to Manage Resources for Your Pods

The Containers as a Service (CaaS) infrastructure has the ability to manage the resources within your project. Most of the time the default settings overprovision resources.

What resources are my pods using?

In the overview page, metrics are displayed and you can identify the usage of Memory, CPU and Network.

CaaS can also display the history of resource usage:

  1. Log into the CaaS web console
  2. Select your project
  3. Select Observe from the menu on the left

Adjust your resources

To adjust your resources:

  1. Log into the CaaS web console
  2. Select your project
  3. Select Project in the menu on the left
  4. Click DeploymentConfigs in the Inventory section
  5. Choose a deployment and click the three-dot menu  to the right of its name
  6. Select Edit Resource Limits
  7. Enter the amount of memory and CPU desired
  8. Click Save. It will trigger the pod to rebuild.
