The AI Innovation Exchange aims to bring together UB faculty, staff, researchers and leaders to turn artificial intelligence opportunities into meaningful, real-world solutions. More than a library of tools, the Exchange will be a collaborative hub for exploring AI-enabled workflows, developing digital agents and data-driven solutions, and supporting projects that improve how UB works, conducts research, teaches and learns.
Grounded in responsible innovation, the AI Innovation Exchange also helps establish shared guidance for ethical, secure and effective AI adoption across the university—so the UB community can experiment with confidence and create impact together.

The AI Innovation Exchange will continue to grow as new tools, guidance, partnerships and opportunities become available. Participants can discover available resources, share promising practices, connect with peers and experts, and build the skills needed to move beyond basic chatbot use. The Office of AI Innovation and Integration is dedicated to providing support designed to match UB’s researcher community and project opportunities focused on addressing both novel policy-relevant and specific challenges broadly focused on responsible AI adoption.

The Office of AI Innovation and Integration was established within the Office of Research, Innovation and Economic Development (ORIED) to serve as a single point of contact to connect people and ideas, help guide projects from concept to implementation and ensure responsible use of AI through best practices aligned with university goals.
