Along the way, you’ll join a vibrant scholarly community, one that supports your curiosity, recognizes your accomplishments, and helps you turn experience into discovery.

Engage your entrepreneurial side

UB provides many opportunities for students to engage in entrepreneurial activities from a pitch contest to a start-up competition. From internships to the Blackstone LaunchPad, UB nurtures your desires for innovation.

Students with the Social Impact Fellows Management student Ajit Pawar, political science student Nicholas Bush and social work student Abbey Szarowicz chose a project based at the International Institute of Buffalo. The Social Impact Fellows (SIF) program prepares students to address social issues using principles of entrepreneurship and social innovation. They were photographed at their location at the IIB in downtown Buffalo in July 2024. Shared research facilities and equipment

UB student Madison Williams works with Niagara Falls High School junior Hajira Imran in a chemistry lab in the Natural Sciences Complex in July 2024. This was part of “Girls in STEM, Together we CHEM," a summer camp program developed by Emanuela Gionfriddo, with chemistry, which gave students in eighth through 12th grades the opportunity to talk with female scientists, run experiments and share their discoveries.
