Research Information Systems (RIS) supports research efforts on both the administrative and program sides, providing innovative, integrated information services, resources and technologies. By building relationships with UB faculty, departments and schools at all levels, the RIS team creates, enhances and maintains a rich research IT infrastructure and reduces the administrative burden.

RIS has two branches of service: Electronic Research Administration (ERA) and Project Support. ERA develops and maintains administrative systems such as Click, OnCore and Central Study Registration. Project Support aims to provide investigators with quality systems development at affordable rates on flexible timelines.

RIS identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and communications. In collaboration with UB departments, faculty and staff, RIS creates a varietyof robust tools and services.

Web Systems Development

RIS offers support for web-based systems development, server maintenance, website maintenance, UBCMS support, as well as systems integration.

RIS maintains numerous applications, including the Click Portal, Oncore Clinical Trial Management System, Redcap, central study registration forms and payroll review.
