UB’s Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development is working with the Research Foundation for SUNY (RF) to implement a new grants management system, Click Portal.

UB is helping lead this effort and will be deploying the Click IRB module in Fall 2015.

This new system will provide UB faculty and staff with an administrative tool that integrates all aspects of grants management into a single system (IRB, IACUC, Grants Management, Financial Conflicts of Interest, Research Agreements and Safety). UB is helping lead this effort and will be deploying the Click IRB module in Fall 2015.  Click benefits include:

  1. Providing an intuitive and easy to use system;
  2. Reducing investigator / coordinator effort on protocol creation and submission;
  3. Leveraging existing UB credentials for single-sign-on technologies;
  4. Reducing IRB turnaround times; and
  5. Creating IRB administrative efficiencies for research investigators and their staff members.

In an effort to maintain effective communication throughout the process, the OVPRED will use the Associate Deans for Research as the primary contacts for disseminating information. With their help, implementation and deployment information should reach all respective faculty and staff.

In addition, the OVPRED is creating a website related to Click implementation. This website will provide crucial information such as key dates, training schedules and other helpful resources related to Click Portal. We will let you know when the website is activated.
