New Oracle Upgrade Implementation - RF Central has successfully implemented the upgraded version of Oracle (R12) as well as the new RF SUNY Report Centers:
- The Oracle Upgrade "go-live" date occurred on Monday May 5th, 2014.
General Guidance
On Monday May 5th, 2014, the SUNY Research Foundation (RF) implemented an upgraded version of the RF Business System that also impacts the reporting and inquiry tools that Principal Investigators and Department Research Staff use. Please carefully read the information below for crucial facts and requirements regarding this upgrade's key dates, black-out periods, training information, and other info. How do you get access to the new RF Report Center? Just click on the link and follow the form's instructions: RF Report Center Access
- PIAI, Quick View, and Discoverer users were able to logon to these systems up until the close of business on Tuesday April 29th, 2014 but the data will only be current up to and as of April 25th, 2014.
- Since May 5th, system users have had access to the new RF Report Center. Refer to the chart above for the new dashboard name related to the application you currently use.
The RF Report Center leverages the latest in dashboard, alerting, analytics, and reporting technology to make it easy for users to perform financial analysis, monitor financial health, and track compliance in one location.

- PI Dashboard Quick Start Guide - Short introduction that walks you through the steps to access and use the Principal Investigators Dashboard.
- RF AIR Quick Start Guide - Short introduction that walks you through the steps to access and use the RF Activity Interface Reporting Dashboard.
- Self-paced Simulations (RF YouTube Channel) - Various demonstrations of the Oracle R12 modules and the RF Report Center are available 24/7/365 and accessible with any pc, laptop, or mobile device. Note: There is audio with the recordings, so be aware of your surroundings and check your volume.
- Learning Tuesday Archive - Many of the Oracle R12 changes were introduced during the September Learning Tuesday events. Watch the archived programs to hear central office staff explain the changes in Oracle and introduce the new RF Report Center. Note: Demonstrations may be difficult to view; they are the same as those simulations posted on the RF YouTube Channel.
