Plant Exchange Subcommittee

Our subcommittee serves as a liaison with local and national gardening resources; to share periodic information about plant sales, gardening tips, and events; and to encourage sustainable practices including exchange of perennials; and to create a learning community of individuals interested in gardening.   

The moderated listserv, PSS-PLANTEXCHANGE-LIST@LISTSERV.BUFFALO.EDU, was established and is maintained in support of our mission. Participation is voluntary, and list members by post questions or suggestions. Any staff member may subscribe by sending a message to listserv@listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu with no subject and “subscribe pss-plantexchange-list firstname lastname” in the body.

• Create awareness and interest in gardening.
• Encourage the exchange (reuse/recycle) of perennial plants, small shrubs or small trees.
• Identify resources and events and share the information with members of the listserv.
