UB provides several electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on the North and South Campuses. Charging stations are also available on the Downtown Campus.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations

Use ChargePoint

You must have a ChargePoint card to use the electric charging stations on UB’s campuses. Learn how to get a ChargePoint card.

Locations

North Campus

  • Jacobs B Lot (16 ports)
  • Coventry Rd., at Bissell Hall (2 ports)
  • Mary Talbert Way, at Bonner Hall (2 ports)

South Campus

  • Parker Lot (14 ports)
  • Diefendorf Loop (2 ports)

Cost

The cost of charging at an EV station is $1.50 each hour the vehicle is plugged in.  

Rules for Charging

  • Vehicles must be charging while parked at the stations
  • Maximum parking/charging time is three hours
  • Parking is prohibited at non-functioning stations

Downtown Campus

Charging stations are available throughout the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (BNMC), which is where UB’s Downtown Campus is located. Please note that these charging stations are not managed by UB, so other rules and policies may apply.
