Departmental Request for Special Event Parking and Transportation

The Parking and Transportation Services office can help you arrange for parking and transportation for special events and meetings on campus. Advance notice is required, and there may be a fee for some of these services. All special events will be planned with the least possible disruption to university students, faculty and staff.

All special parking and transportation requests are now processed through Blue Services, our streamlined online system. The process depends on your affiliation with the university.

Parking for Special Events

The Parking and Transportation Services office will determine which spaces may be used for event parking. This will be done on an event-by-event basis. The use of spaces for one event should not be considered approval for use of the spaces for any other similar event. The determination of what spaces are to be utilized will be made based upon the academic calendar, construction projects and current usage by university students and staff.

Transportation for Special Events

You have multiple options for special event transportation. Note that rates are subject to change without prior notice due to currency fluctuation, fuel prices, or unforeseen economic circumstances.

UB Buses

  • Seat 39 passengers
  • $200.00 per hour per bus, with a minimum of two hours charged, plus a fuel surcharge that is determined once the bus(es) return and mileage is checked
  • Non-UB affiliates: $230.00 per hour per bus, with a minimum of two hours charged, plus a fuel surcharge that is determined once the bus(es) return and mileage is checked

UB Shuttles

  • Seat 25 passengers each
  • $200.00 per hour per shuttle, with a minimum of two hours charged, plus a fuel surcharge that is determined once the shuttle(s) return and mileage is checked
  • Non-UB affiliates: $230.00 per hour per shuttle, with a minimum of two hours charged, plus a fuel surcharge that is determined once the shuttle(s) return and mileage is checked

UB Van Rental

  • Seat 8 passengers each
  • $100.00 per hour per shuttle, with a minimum of two hours charged, plus a fuel surcharge that is determined once the shuttle(s) return and mileage is checked
  • Non-UB affiliates: $110.00 per hour per shuttle, with a minimum of two hours charged, plus a fuel surcharge that is determined once the shuttle(s) return and mileage is checked
