Parking

  • Know the Rules: Parking and Driving Regulations
    4/24/25
Avoid citations and fines. Make sure you understand the rules and regulations for parking and driving on campus.
  • Get a Parking Permit
    5/18/26
UB uses License Plate Recognition (LPR).  Your license plate is your virtual permit to park. UB students, faculty, staff and vendors must register their license plate(s) to park in most areas on campus. In most cases, physical permits are not issued.
  • License Plate Recognition Technology and FAQs
    5/18/26
For nearly 25 years, UB distributed printed rear-view mirror hang tags to faculty, staff, and students as proof of their permission to park on UB campuses. A License Plate Recognition (LPR) system has now replaced physical parking hang tags. Your license plate is now your parking permit.
  • Use Park and Ride
    1/28/26
Avoid a stressful drive and save time looking for parking. Simply park in a park-and-ride lot then take a convenient shuttle to your destination.
  • Pay a Citation
    3/16/26
You can pay your citation by mail or online through the Parking and Transportation E-Business Center. You can also pay by phone, with a credit card.
  • Parking for Special Events
    6/29/26
Whether you’re going to a conference, football game or any special event, you’ll typically find plenty of special event parking.
  • Motorist Assistance Program
    7/28/26
The Motorist Assistance Program is a complimentary service for the UB campus community brought to you by Parking and Transportation Services.

Transportation

  • Bus and Shuttle Schedules
    7/29/26
Need to get around campus? Find shuttle schedules, route information and transportation service details to help plan your trip.
  • Track Your Bus or Shuttle
    3/26/26
Getting around campus and between campuses is fast, easy and free. UB buses and shuttles let you park once on any campus and then use university transportation throughout your day.
  • Ride the Safety Shuttle
    3/26/26
UB aspires to be a safe place for students, faculty and staff to work and live. As a member of the community, you can help ensure your own safety — and the safety of others — by being alert and aware.

Mobility Services

  • Use Bikeshare
    7/21/26
It’s easy to bike on campus, with free bike registration, winter storage and bike racks on UB Stampede buses. You'll save money on gas — and save time parking.
