Use Panopto, UB's streaming server, to deliver video and audio content inside your Brightspace courses.
For an optimal user viewing experience, we recommend utilizing a streaming service, such as Panopto or YouTube, to deliver video and audio content from Brightspace.
The Panopto integration provides the necessary tools to add and manage Panopto video files from inside Brightspace courses. Video files and classroom lecture recordings added to Brightspace courses using Panopto allow students to watch on any computer, laptop or mobile device.
Instructors will use Panopto Video Embed found in the Insert Stuff tool (right) to embed Panopto videos and quizzes in their courses.
Students will use Panopto Video Submission found in the Insert Stuff tool to submit video submission assignments.
REQUIRED: Provision Your Course to Use Panopto
Before you can use Panopto in your course, you must provision the tool. Provisioning Panopto will add an External Learning Tool folder named Panopto Content in a module.
To hide the Panopto Content link from students, click the chevron icon next to Panopto Content and select Hide from Users.
To rename the Panopto Content link, click the chevron icon next to Panopto Content, select Edit Properties in Place, click on the link name and change the text.
Make sure you have created a Panopto Quiz before following the steps below.
Why are people getting a "Request Access for Video" error?
Either change the sharing setting inside Panopto to “Anyone at your organization with the link” or use the Panopto Video Embed tool (available from the Insert Stuff tool). Viewers should enable third-party cookies in their browser.
Why didn't my grades import into the Grades tool?
After students answer the final question by clicking Finish, they must also click Continue in order for the grades to be imported.
