SPIN (Sponsored Programs Information Network) is a powerful, subscription-based database of over 40,000 funding opportunities from public and private donors. While many faculty members find it fairly straightforward to locate federal funding opportunities, private foundation funds are a different matter.
The Community for Global Health Equity invites you to learn how to access SPIN -- and craft targeted searches that will pull up relevant federal and private funding opportunities for your work.

At the workshop, you will:

  • Receive login information for accessing the database
  • Learn how to use operators to increase “hits” and minimize irrelevant funding opportunities in your search results
  • Have opportunity to brainstorm lists of search terms and run initial queries

The workshop will be led by Kimberly Burns from the Office of Research Advancement.
If you have any questions about the workshop, please contact Lisa Vahapoğlu (lisalenk@buffalo.edu)
