Matthew Grappone Scholarship Fund

Headshot of Gregory B. Jarvis.

This scholarship fund provides support for students in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, with preference for those who work for UB’s central computing services organization.

Mattnew Grappone received his BS in Aerospace Engineering in 1987 and his BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1997, and was employed at Computer Information Technology (CIT — now known as UB Information Technology) at UB. Matt spent 12 of his 30 years connected with UB in these two areas, before he passed away unexpectedly.

This scholarship will be used to help the educational pursuits of individuals enrolled in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, with preference being given to students who work for UB Information Technology.

The fund was established in 2003, when friends and family honored Matt by creating a scholarship in his memory.
