Electrical Engineering Department Fund

UB Chemical and Biological Engineering professor Eli Ruckenstein.

Help address some of society’s largest and most challenging problems through this fund.

Nowadays, most everything we use in our daily lives has a power source and a chip and implements some sophisticated communication protocol and data/signal processing algorithm.

In the Department of Electrical Engineering—part of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences—we offer students the opportunity to learn and grow in a challenging and supportive environment, with access to the people, places and resources to foster the tools for success.

Through cutting-edge research, our faculty and students define new directions and develop new technologies to help address critical societal challenges in biology and medicine, energy and the environment. Whether we invent new material at the nanoscale, make objects invisible or take the internet underwater, our faculty make discoveries in the lab and then bring this knowledge to the classroom.

Our graduates develop innovative new solutions for improving human health, health care, safety and quality of life for people across the world. EE graduates may also develop socially relevant communications products, innovative materials and devices that create greener, more energy-efficient solutions for our world.
