Connecting Your Windows Device Wirelessly to a Technology Classroom Display

Step 1: Connect to eduroam Wi-Fi

  1. To keep your screen private from your class, on the Crestron touchscreen select Projector Video Mute
  2. If your device is not already connected to eduroam, see Wi-Fi at UB for configuration instructions.

Step 2: Locate the IP Address and Code on the Crestron Touchscreen

On the teaching station Crestron touchscreen, select Wireless Presentation. An IP address will appear at the top of the Crestron touchscreen, along with a four-digit code

Step 3: Download and Install Crestron AirMedia 2

This only needs to be done the first time you are planning to use Crestron AirMedia 2.

The Crestron AirMedia 2 app or program needs to be installed on your device in order to present wirelessly. Download and installation take several minutes, so allow sufficient time before the start of a lecture.  It is best to install the app while in the room you intend to use it in.

1. In the URL bar of your device’s web browser, enter the IP address displayed on the Crestron touchscreen

2. Click the blue Start Presenting button

Click Start Presenting.

3. Click Windows to download the Crestron AirMedia software. Once the download is complete, open it to install

Step 4: Connect to Crestron AirMedia 2

Each classroom has a unique IP address, so you need to follow these steps for every classroom, each time you want to use AirMedia.

1. Launch the Crestron AirMedia 2 application

2. If it is the first time you are launching the application, click Allow to run the app after launching it

3. Enter the IP address shown on the Crestron touchscreen in the hostname or address field and click Connect

4. Enter the four-digit code shown on the Crestron touchscreen and click OK

Enter the 4-digit code shown at the top of the Crestron touchscreen.

5. Your screen will now be mirrored in the classroom. On the teaching station touchscreen, press Projector Video Mute again and Projector On to project

Disconnect When Done

Click the Stop button in the Crestron AirMedia 2 app

Stop, pause and mute buttons.
