Learn how to display content wirelessly from your Mac to a Technology Classroom display or group study room in the Libraries.
Operating System: MacOS 11/12/13 Big Sur/Ventura/Monterey
Last Updated: December 17, 2025
This only needs to be done once.
The Crestron AirMedia app needs to be installed on your device to present wirelessly. Download and installation take several minutes, so allow sufficient time before you need to use it.
You need administrator rights to install the AirMedia app. Contact your IT support department for UB owned computers.
If your device is not already connected to eduroam, see Wi-Fi at UB for configuration instructions
On the Crestron touchscreen press Projector Video Mute to mute the projector so people in the room cannot see the code.
Each classroom and group study room has a unique IP address, so you need to follow these steps for every classroom and group study room, each time you want to use Crestron AirMedia.
1. Launch Crestron AirMedia
2. If it is the first time launching the app, click AGREE
3. If asked to “Allow ‘Crestron AirMedia’ to find devices on local network” choose Allow.
4. In the Enter receiver’s address field, enter the IP Address displayed on the Crestron touchscreen or the group study room TV display panel.
5. Enter the PIN/code displayed on the Crestron touchscreen or the group study room TV display panel and press return
6. The Start Screen Mirroring screen opens showing the name of the room’s receiver which may look something like: 10.12.33.555, ROOM376G-AM3200, AM-3100-C4426805BAC5, or FRONCZAK555-AM3100
7. Open the Control Center from the menu bar
8. Click the Screen Mirroring icon
9. Select the room’s receiver to begin mirroring
10. Enter the AirPlay code a second time
11. Choose what you would like to share, the default is your entire screen.
12. Your device screen will be mirrored onto the room’s screen.
You can change what you’re sharing by going back to Control Center > Screen Mirroring > choose Change or Add windows
Press Projector Video Mute on the teaching station Crestron touchscreen to reveal the mirrored screen to people in the classroom.
Do not close the AirMedia app while connected.
Disconnect so your device isn’t projected accidently after you leave the room.
When you want to stop sharing your screen:
1. Click your computer's Control Center icon in the system bar and click Screen Mirroring
2. Click stop mirroring
