What can it be used for?

  • Administering surveys – create your project using secure web authentication from your browser without the use of extra software.
  • Exporting your data – Microsoft Excel, PDF, SPSS, SAS, and R.
  • Scheduling – use the built-in features such as the project calendar and scheduling module for managing your appointments.
  • Managing multiple surveys per project.
  • Collecting anonymous responses – send a link to your survey via email, enter data manually, or distribute a link another way.
  • Automatic calculation of data.

Why REDCap?

REDCap can be used to collect virtually any type of data, online or offline, for research studies and operations. It is designed to be easy to use yet adaptable to projects of any size or complexity.

You can also ensure your data is secure and accurate with REDCap’s verification check for data being entered.

Your data can be accessed from any device that is connected to the internet. This includes PC, Mac, smartphones, tablets, etc.

Who can use it?

REDCap will be available to all faculty, staff, and students for research-related projects. The system will have some regulations, so access must be requested beforehand.

REDCap is a web-based system and can be accessed via URL. You may use your UBITName and password to log in but REDCap will also have a local login option for collaboration purposes.
