VIDEO: Connecting Personal Devices to Teaching Stations

Available Teaching Station Display Connections

Instructions

Connection cables are available in the cable cubby on top of the teaching station. These cables support a variety of devices such as laptops, tablets, and phones.

Most rooms provide a single HDMI cable and a ring of the most used adaptors to connect your device directly to the teaching station for display in the room. Updated rooms have both a USB-C and HDMI cable and a ring of adaptors for the HDMI cable.

How to hook up HDMI to your device using the adaptor ring

  1. Locate the correct adapter for your device on the BYOD Adapter Ring
  2. Attach the adapter to the HDMI cable
  3. Insert the adapter into your device
Note: Some adapters are very similar. Do not force an adapter into your device or you may break your device.

4. Use the touch panel controls to display your device:

  • In rooms with an HDMI cable and adaptor ring
    1.  Select Portable Device
    2. Choose HDMI
  • In rooms with both a USB-C and HDMI cable:
    • Select either Portable Device HDMI or Portable Device USB-C to display.
    • If you use an adaptor with the HDMI cable, choose Portable Device HDMI.
