Apply for Orientation Leader or Welcome Weekend Leader Positions
These paid leadership positions allow you to guide new students through the New to UB experience, including Summer Orientation and Welcome Weekend, and share your unique UB story with the incoming class.
In both positions, you’ll have an opportunity to build connections across campus, develop your skills, and make unforgettable memories!
Orientation Leader
Orientation Leaders (OL) serve as the face of New to UB programs and must be positive representatives of UB and the student experience.
OLs will spend June and July on campus preparing for and then implementing the July on-campus Summer Orientation programs.
In August, OLs return to campus a week early to prepare for and then implement an amazing Welcome Weekend and International Welcome Weekend with support from Welcome Weekend Leaders.
- Employment dates: June 12 - July 31; August 16 - 27
- Paid at least $4,500
- Free on-campus June-July housing
- Most meals during the July program

Welcome Weekend Leader
This is an excellent paid, short-term position to start your semester.
Welcome Weekend Leaders return to campus a week before the fall semester begins in August to prepare for and then implement an amazing Welcome Weekend and International Welcome Weekend.
Supported by Orientation Leaders, Welcome Weekend Leaders implement campus traditions such as the human UB photo at the New Student Welcome.

- Paid $16/hour, up to $850 total
