Make a big impact by participating in one of our signature campus-wide volunteer opportunities with your peers!
Our signature days of service engage the entire UB community in multiple volunteer opportunities across the Buffalo area. Students will make a positive difference in a short amount of time with these large-scale programs. The more participants, the bigger the impact!
Observed each year on the third Monday in January, MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.
Join in a day of service with local nonprofit organizations to give back to the Buffalo community at the end of the spring semester! Engage in service related to poverty alleviation, sustainability, and access to education.
Help Student Engagement and Community Relations as we partner with organizations all over Buffalo to volunteer on various projects that will better our shared community, usually in the middle of the fall semester.
Cause Connection Events are micro-volunteering opportunities that are designed to allow students to give back right in their own community. Events will be hosted once a month during the academic year for students to give back to their community. Stop in at an event to do some good for the day!
Micro-volunteering is a way for volunteers to give their time to a cause they believe in without a huge commitment. It allows for more one-off interactions, which gives more people a chance to easily engage with their community and perhaps work towards becoming regular volunteers in the future.
Individually, participating in micro-volunteering might only involve donating a small amount of time and effort, but the collective impact can be immense!
