Give back to your community. Learn how to create positive change. Understand your role in a global society.
The Community & Civic Engagement certificate program will help students become active citizens working toward positive social change in our ever-changing world. Through various educational opportunities students will develop a strong foundation of knowledge that will prepare them to be leaders in our local, national and global communities.
Students will get a chance to put their knowledge into action through various service-learning experiences in the local community that will connect theory to practice. This certificate seeks to provide students with the knowledge, hands-on experience and critical thinking skills needed to be active citizens during their time at UB and beyond.
