UBIT will perform a one-time cleanup of Zoom cloud recordings from 2020 and earlier stored in Panopto as of April 23, 2026, as UB’s Panopto archive has reached its storage limit.

If you’d like to restore your content before April 23, most Zoom recordings are available in Panopto under My Folder, within the Meeting Recordings subfolder.

Panopto provides step-by-step instructions for restoring archived content on its website. Please note that restorations can take up to 72 hours.

This clean-up impacts some faculty and staff who have created content in Panopto. Only older, unused Zoom cloud recordings will be removed. Specifically:

  • Archived for more than four years
  • Not viewed in over five and a half years

Any active Panopto recordings and classroom lecture recordings will not be affected.
