GSEU Employees Can Change Health Insurance by October 08

The 2026 Open Enrollment Period for the Student Employee Health Plan (SEHP) is open through Thursday, October 08, 2026.
The Open Enrollment Period provides State Teaching and Graduate Assistants who were eligible for the Student Employee Health Plan (SEHP) last year but chose not to enroll, an opportunity to enroll now, without the 30-day waiting period otherwise required for late enrollment.
No action is required if you are already enrolled or do not want to enroll.
Eligibility
Only State Teaching and Graduate Assistants represented by GSEU are eligible for the SEHP and can participate in open enrollment.
- All other State employees are ineligible.
- Newly appointed Teaching and Graduate Assistants should follow instructions sent to their UB email for initial enrollment.

Download and complete the SEHP Open Enrollment Package for full instructions.
Your enrollment form and documentation should be sent to our UB Secure Box folder as instructed in the SEHP Open Enrollment Package. Incomplete paperwork cannot be processed.
All enrollment paperwork is due by close of business on Thursday, October 08, 2026.
