Academic integrity, the honest completion of work, is the value upon which a university is built. All members of the UB community may not understand the intricacies of academic integrity and how it is upheld at the university. The Office of Academic Integrity is here to provide education and support to instructors and students as they pursue their academic endeavors.
The Baldy Center for Law and Social Policy is an endowed academic center. Our mission is to advance interdisciplinary research that aims to bridge disciplines and contribute to the great mosaic of law and society scholarship, leading to positive change in the world. Our grants fund faculty research, conferences, events, and initiatives as stand-alone or collaborative projects, including pilot study research aimed at developing external funding proposals.
The Baldy Center invites you:
—to apply for our grants that can help fund your research;
—to feature your work on our blog or podcast as faculty guest;
—to enliven academic inquiry by attending our conferences and events.
At the Career Design Center, we engage with the UB community, employers and alumni to challenge students to see possibilities and seek opportunities in preparation for life after college.
The Dean of Students Office provides assistance and support to students in navigating a complex university life so that UB students can flourish during their time here. The staff of the Dean of Students Office primarily serve as case managers as part of the Students of Concern Team, UB’s behavioral intervention team. Additionally, the office manages Blue Table, the UB food pantry, student emergency funds and the student death protocol.
We seek to improve the student experience by aligning a wide range of integral activities, organizing data to support strategic and administrative decisions, integrating technology for efficiency and improving campus partners’ experiences, and developing a continuum of messaging and key communications from enrollment management offices.
Plentiful resources for current students, numerous professional development opportunities, career advice and an office dedicated to our postdoctoral scholars, are just some ways in which UB can help students succeed beyond the classroom.
