Hayes Hall-South Campus.

Internationally recognized as an accomplished researcher and transformative higher education leader, Dr. Satish K. Tripathi was appointed the 15th president of the University at Buffalo on April 18, 2011. UB continues to experience a remarkable era of growth, progress, and innovation under Dr. Tripathi’s leadership as president, ranking 31 among public universities in 2019. UB has set a course for excellence and is poised to rise even further in the ranks of the AAU, situating itself among the Top 25 public research universities in the nation in the next decade.

“I believe that we can cross a new threshold. I believe that, in the next decade, we can situate UB in the Top 25 public research universities in the nation.”

Satish K. Tripathi
President

Join President Tripathi and Felisha Legette-Jack, head coach of the UB women's basketball team and winningest coach in program history, in their candid discussion about racial injustice, diversity in UB athletics, and standing together in times of crisis.

While final guidance will come from the Governor and SUNY Chancellor, we are pleased to share that UB is planning to return to campus in the fall in a modified in-person capacity, which will include a mix of in-person instruction – within distancing and public health guidelines – and online courses.
