Teaching Resources

Whether you are teaching in-person, remote or a hybrid/hyflex course, UB has resources to ensure a successful teaching and learning experience for all.

On this page:

Teaching Modalities Defined

In-person

In-person teaching requires that course content and learning material are taught in person to a group of students.

Hyflex

Hyflex teaching is a student-centered model of class delivery that can integrate in-class instruction, online synchronous video sessions and asynchronous content delivery

Remote

Remote teaching occurs outside of a physical classroom, and generally takes place online.

Hybrid

Hybrid teaching consists of a mixture of remote (or online) and in-person (or face-to-face) activities, where students may be able to attend on-campus sessions, remote sessions in the same time zone, or remote sessions in a different time zone.

Instructional Supports

The following resources can help make your teaching experience a smooth one.
